Flag With Rope And Toggle

The toggle denotes the top of the flag and a short length of line or rope comes out of the bottom of the flag heading.

Feed the loop through the eye of the snap hook. 1 2 cm end diameter. Attach your snap hook to the halyard by making a loop in the rope. The small loop will grow tighter with each pull of the halyard.

5 7 cm center width. The flag should be attached to its left hand side with a heading line and toggle. If you are flying the union jack flag it is important that your display it the correct way up. When looking at the front of the flag the flag should facing to the right of the flagpole.

Flags with grommets these are round and solid brass that are placed usually on the header of the flag one at the top and one at the bottom. If the flag is fitted with a toggle this will normally be fitted at the top of the flag. You want to create an endless length of halyard. Push the toggle through the loop that was made in the halyard and make sure it is secure.

Pull the hook part through the loop and tighten the rope to the body of the hook. The flag should form part of a continuous loop with the halyard rope on the flagpole.
